Carpentry/Joinery Apprentice

Trasan Contracting Pty Ltd is a well-established, family-owned provider of multidisciplinary building services based in Karratha and operating throughout the Pilbara region. Founded in 1997 by Travers and Sandi Clarke, the company has over 28 years of experience in building, construction, maintenance, and consulting services.

With a team of 18 staff, Trasan delivers projects across heavy industrial, commercial, and residential construction, as well as facilities maintenance, scaffolding, project recovery, mobilisation/demobilisation support, and consultation and design. The company is also the exclusive distributor of Fair Dinkum industrial sheds.

The Opportunity

Trasan Contracting is seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join their team full-time. This role will involve completing the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining hands-on experience with a supportive and professional team.

Duties Include

• Assisting tradespeople with site preparation and maintaining cleanliness

• Collecting and setting up tools and equipment

• Handling materials required for tasks

• Observing safety procedures and completing compliance documentation

• Practising and developing carpentry skills

• Attending TAFE as part of the apprenticeship

• Communicating and working effectively within the team

The successful candidate will be approachable, reliable, and eager to learn. They will enjoy working with their hands, producing high-quality results, and building technical knowledge. Patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to follow established processes are essential.

Essential Requirements

• Current Driver’s License and own vehicle

• Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card)

Desirable (not essential):

• Pre-apprenticeship (Certificate II in Construction)

• Previous experience in construction or related trade
